Strepsils Honey & Lemon lozenges bring dual antiseptic action to sore throats in the nation’s favourite flavour, soothing as they dissolve and fighting the bacteria that can cause throat infections.
How it works
Two antiseptic ingredients act on bacteria in the throat while the dissolving lozenge lubricates and soothes soreness, with effects starting within minutes.
How to use
Adults and children over 6, dissolve one lozenge slowly in the mouth every 2 to 3 hours, up to 12 lozenges in 24 hours.
Active ingredient
Contains 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol and amylmetacresol. Full ingredient list in the patient information leaflet.
Side effects
Side effects are uncommon. Occasionally mild tummy upset or mouth irritation. A full list of possible side effects is in the patient information leaflet supplied with the medicine.
Cautions
Contains glucose and sucrose, worth knowing for diabetics. If your sore throat lasts more than 3 days, comes with high fever, or you have difficulty swallowing or breathing, seek medical advice. Always read the label.
