Product information

MigraKind 50 mg treats the headache phase of migraine, with or without aura. Sumatriptan acts on serotonin receptors to narrow dilated cranial vessels and ease pain, nausea and light sensitivity. Relief typically begins within about 30 minutes. Adults only.

How to use

Swallow one tablet with water as soon as the headache starts. If symptoms return, take one more tablet after at least two hours. Do not take a second tablet for the same attack if the first tablet gave no relief. Do not exceed two tablets in 24 hours or 300 mg in any 24 hour period. For adults only, typically 18 to 65 years. Use for diagnosed migraine, not for prevention.

Main Ingredients

Each film-coated tablet contains sumatriptan 50 mg, as the succinate. Tablets contain lactose; coating excipients include mannitol, titanium dioxide and triacetin.

Side Effects & Cautions

Common effects include tingling, flushing, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, and short-lived chest or throat tightness. Stop and seek urgent help if you develop severe chest pain, shortness of breath, sudden weakness, visual changes, allergic symptoms or severe abdominal pain. Do not use if you have heart disease, previous stroke or TIA, peripheral vascular disease, uncontrolled hypertension, or severe liver disease. Do not take within 24 hours of ergot medicines or another triptan, and do not use with MAOIs or within two weeks of stopping them. Use with SSRIs or SNRIs can, rarely, lead to serotonin syndrome. Avoid use if you have risk factors for heart disease without medical advice. Breastfeeding mothers should avoid feeding for 12 hours after a dose. Do not drive if drowsy.
