LoviOne 1.5mg Tablet Levonorgestrel

LoviOne 1.5 mg levonorgestrel is an emergency contraceptive to help prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure. Take it as soon as possible, ideally within 12 hours and no later than 72 hours. It mainly works by delaying ovulation and will not affect an established pregnancy.

How to use
Swallow one tablet as soon as possible after unprotected sex, preferably within 12 hours and within 72 hours at the latest. If you vomit within three hours, take another tablet as soon as you can. Your next period may be early, on time or a few days late. If your period is more than five days late, unusually light or heavy, or you have pregnancy symptoms, do a pregnancy test and seek advice. Do not use this as a regular contraceptive method. You can breastfeed after taking levonorgestrel, but many sources advise taking the dose straight after a feed to reduce infant exposure. Under 16s should seek a clinician‚√Ñ√¥s advice.

Main ingredients
Each tablet contains levonorgestrel 1.5 mg. Common excipients include lactose monohydrate, maize starch, silica and magnesium stearate. Check the leaflet if you have allergies or intolerances.

Side effects and cautions
You may feel sick, vomit, have lower tummy pain, headache, dizziness, breast tenderness, tiredness or spotting before your next period. Seek urgent help if you develop severe abdominal pain, chest pain, breathing problems, a fainting episode, swelling of a limb, or a severe rash. Do not use if you are already pregnant or allergic to any ingredient. Effectiveness falls with certain enzyme-inducing medicines, including some epilepsy, TB and HIV treatments, and with St John‚√Ñ√¥s wort. In these cases, or if a copper IUD is acceptable, that option is preferred. Clinical guidance also advises considering ulipristal acetate or, if unsuitable, an adjusted levonorgestrel approach under clinician advice for people with BMI over 26 kg/m¬¨‚⧠or weight over 70 kg. People with severe liver disease, unexplained vaginal bleeding, or malabsorption should seek medical advice before use. If you need emergency contraception again in the same cycle, it can be supplied, but arrange reliable ongoing contraception.
