How to use
- Dissolve the contents of one Dioralyte Blackcurrant Sachet in 200ml of drinking water.
- Ensure the water is safe to consume. If you're unsure, use freshly boiled water and let it cool sufficiently before mixing.
- Stir well until all the powder has dissolved.
- Consume the solution as soon as possible after mixing.
- For adults and children aged 1 year and over, the usual dose is one or two sachets after each loose motion, up to a maximum of five sachets a day (over 24 hours).
- For infants aged 3 months to 1 year, the usual dose is one sachet after each loose motion. Do not exceed more than two sachets in any 24 hours unless as advised by your healthcare provider.
- The sachets should not be given to infants under 3 months old unless prescribed by a doctor.
- Consumption should be continued until diarrhea has stopped but not for more than 3-4 days without medical advice.
- Do not exceed the stated dose.
- Remember that Dioralyte Blackcurrant Sachets don't cure the diarrhea, they simply help your body to replace the water and salts lost through diarrhea and prevent or treat dehydration.
Main Ingredients
- Sodium chloride, potassium chloride, glucose (anhydrous), disodium hydrogen citrate, blackcurrant flavour, saccharin sodium, hypermellose and aspartame.

- Allergic Reactions: Some patients may experience allergic reactions like skin rashes, itching, or difficulty breathing.
- Electrolyte Imbalance: Dioralyte could lead to electrolyte imbalance if overdosed or used for an extended period. Monitor electrolyte levels regularly.
- Kidney Disease: Patients with kidney disease should use this medication with caution, as it can worsen their condition.
- Diabetes: The blackcurrant flavor contains a small amount of sugar, so diabetics should monitor their blood sugar levels.
- If you're pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, seek medical advice before use.
- Do not use beyond the expiry date, and keep out of reach of children.
- Always consult your healthcare provider for potential side effects and precautions before using any medication.
- Not suitable for people with a blockage in the intestines or kidney disease.
- Avoid use if allergic to any of the ingredients.
- Do not exceed the recommended dose.
- Check with a doctor before use if diabetic or on low-potassium or low-sodium diet.
- Seek immediate medical attention in case of persistent diarrhoea or vomiting.
- Not intended for use in children under the age of 1 without medical advice.
