How to use
- The Benylin Infants Cough Syrup is for use in babies and children aged 3 months to 5 years.
- Shake the bottle well before each use to make sure the medicine is thoroughly mixed.
- Using the syringe provided, the recommended dose for children aged 3 months to 1 year is 2.5ml (half a 5ml spoonful) up to 3-4 times a day.
- For children aged 1-5 years, the recommended dose is 5ml (one 5ml spoonful) up to 3-4 times a day.
- Do not use more than the recommended dose in 24 hours. Allow at least 4 hours between each dose.
- Do not give your child this medicine if they have already taken four doses in any 24-hour period.
- Always rinse the syringe after each use and ensure it is properly dried before storage.
- If symptoms persist or worsen, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
- Always read the product label and patient information leaflet before use. Keep out of reach and sight of children.
- Note: This medicine may cause drowsiness, if affected, do not operate machinery or drive. Always consult a healthcare professional before giving medicine to a child.

- Benylin Infants Cough Syrup may cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, dry mouth, or sedation in some cases. It may also lead to an allergic reaction in some individuals. Do not exceed the recommended dose and discontinue use if serious side effects occur. Avoid driving or operating machinery after administration as it may cause drowsiness. Consult a healthcare professional before use if the child has asthma, pregnant or breastfeeding, or has other underlying medical conditions. Also, it shouldn't be given to infants under the age of 1 month unless directed by a doctor. Possible drug interactions may occur, consult with a healthcare professional.
