Anusol Plus HC Ointment 15g is a fast-acting, maximum strength relief ointment for irritating haemorrhoids or piles. Formulated with hydrocortisone which effectively soothes itching, it also contains benzyl benzoate, bismuth oxide, bismuth subgallate, and zinc oxide to reduce swelling, alleviate discomfort, and aid healing. How to use
- Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying Anusol Plus Hc Ointment.
- Apply the ointment in the morning, at night, and after each bowel movement, unless directed otherwise by your doctor.
- For internal use, screw the included applicator onto the tube, squeeze the tube to fill the applicator with ointment, then gently insert the applicator into the rectum and squeeze the tube to release the ointment.
- For external use, spread a thin layer of the ointment onto the affected area.
- Do not use for more than a week, unless your doctor tells you to.
- If symptoms do not improve, consult your doctor.

- Local irritation or burning sensation.
- Allergic reactions such as rash, itching or swelling, severe dizziness or trouble breathing.
- Long-term use, especially with large amounts, can increase the risk of side effects on other parts of the body.
- If applied excessively, it can lead to steroid side-effects, such as thinning or discoloration of the skin.
- Before using, inform your doctor if you have a history of blood circulation problems or diabetes.
- Do not use in the presence of untreated bacterial, fungal, or viral skin infections.
- Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding without consulting a doctor.
- Do not use if allergic to any ingredients in the ointment.
- Avoid contact with eyes.
- Do not use for longer than 7 days unless instructed by a doctor.
- This medicine is for rectal use only.
- Do not swallow or put inside the mouth.
- Seek medical advice if symptoms persist or worsen.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Not recommended for use during pregnancy, breastfeeding or on children under 12 unless advised by a doctor.
